The Martin SC-10E Modern is a very interesting acoustic for guitarists coming from electric or those seeking a comfortable, modern electro-acoustic that’s easy to play across the entire neck. Its SC body with cutaway and the Sure Align neck system greatly facilitate access to the high frets, setting it apart from a more traditional dreadnought or 000 style.

It’s not the most traditional Martin in concept, and that’s precisely its appeal: designed for live performance, songwriting, and musicians who need versatility without sacrificing acoustic character. If you're looking for a traditional Martin purely for accompaniment, you might consider a different body shape, but for plugged-in playing, arrangements, solos, or moving smoothly between chords and melodic lines, the SC-10E Modern makes a lot of sense.
