The R1/Q58 pickup combination is specifically designed for use in headless guitars. They deliver a clearly defined sound, providing excellent tonal balance across all frequencies. The lows are powerful without muddiness, and the highs are bright and clear, yet never harsh. As a result, every note within chord structures is well-defined and distinctly audible. These pickups, with their tonal balance and extremely low noise performance, work very well with both digital and analog effects.

This custom string lock is a one-piece unit featuring a very simple construction. This means the hardware requires less maintenance, is highly durable, and allows for very easy string changes. Additionally, no proprietary strings are required, so you can keep using your preferred gauge and brand.

The dyna-MIX 9 offers nine sound variations and can switch between humbucker and single-coil modes just by toggling the mini switch. One mode even simulates a humbucker sound by combining two single-coil pickups.

About the Q Series
The Q or Quest series is a completely new concept from Ibanez. This range features a series of unique elements designed to maximize tone, playability, and comfort. These include custom-designed Q58 humbuckers and R1 single-coil pickups, a new Mono-Tune bridge, and a patented custom string-locking mechanism. The QX subseries also features innovative 8-degree inward-angled frets, uniquely tailored ergonomics for highly technical players.
About Ibanez
Ibanez is a Japan-based manufacturer of guitars and basses. The name comes from Spanish luthier Salvador Ibañez, whose excellent guitars were distributed in Japan by Hoshino Gakki. The 1929 recession affected the company, which closed in 1933. With the Japanese market left underserved, the importer decided in 1935 to start manufacturing Spanish-style guitars on its own, distributing them under the name "Ibanez Salvador." The name was later shortened to "Ibanez."
