The Earthquaker Devices Swiss Things is the all-in-one solution perfect for pedalboards, offering several very useful switching options. With two True Bypass effect loops, an ABY box, and an optional 20dB Clean Boost, the Swiss Things is the ideal companion for keeping extensive effects setups organized. Both effect loops feature the innovative EQD Flexi switch, allowing classic latching operation or momentary switching. Additionally, the flexible signal routing is suitable for stereo configurations using two amplifiers, which can be controlled individually or together. The Swiss Things also enables volume boosts via external EXP pedals without signal loss.
Two effect loops with Flexi-Switch
The core of the Earthquaker Devices Swiss Things lies undoubtedly in its two effect loops, designed to manage larger pedal collections. Loop 1 is unbuffered, making it ideal for overdrive, distortion, or fuzz pedals, while Loop 2 includes a buffer, perfect for delay, reverb, or modulation effects. Both loops feature not only relay-controlled True Bypass switching but also the innovative Flexi-Switching, which activates the effect loop only while the pedal switch is pressed.
Clean Boost and A/B Box
Additionally, the Earthquaker Devices Swiss Things includes a separately switchable Clean Boost that can raise the signal by up to 20dB without altering the character of the sound. Thanks to the Flexi switch, the boost can be momentarily activated to emphasize specific passages in a song. The final element of the EQD Swiss Things signal chain is an A/B box that distributes the output signal to two different amplifiers. Output B is galvanically isolated via a transformer and features a phase switch to eliminate unwanted background noise or hum loops.
