Earthquaker Devices Plumes
This is a low-gain overdrive pedal based on classic overdrives but with a higher clean headroom and interesting additional modifications.

The Plumes is an approximation of an original overdrive with a very unique circuit that can be harnessed to its full potential. EarthQuaker has utilized JFET operational transistors and set the input impedance to around 10 megaohms, significantly reducing noise and maintaining a more intact signal.
Regarding saturation modes, there are three different clipping options, selectable via a mini switch.
- Mode 1: Symmetrical LED, delivers the classic British tube saturation tone.
- Mode 2: No clipping, closely resembles a ‘clean boost’.
- Mode 3: Asymmetrical silicon, offers more pronounced clipping with slightly less output.
