The Dirty Little Secret Deluxe represents the logical next step in Marshall Plexi emulation, going beyond the preamp circuit and incorporating the rest of the amplifier for an extremely authentic capture of everything inside that chassis.
The original DLS circuit has been fully refined and improved, now featuring a phase inverter, power amp simulator, output transformer, as well as new features and the most requested modifications from the original. One of these additions is an external toggle switch to select between Super Lead and Super Bass modes, and we’ve also externalized the Presence knob for easy adjustment to your preferred Marshall tone. Additionally, a piece of the Dirty Little Secret—a tube preamp simulator—has been added as an integrated boost circuit that can be used independently of the main circuit. You can use the boost and DLS in any order; place the boost before the DLS for a high-gain saturated tone or after to push the front end of your amplifier. A new stiffness control allows you to cut sub-bass for more clarity or completely attenuate the lows for great thrash metal tones. A dedicated line output provides a +10dB output that can be used with a mixer or DAW, and both outputs can be used simultaneously. With the boost, the order switch, and the external Super Lead/Super Bass modes, the Dirty Little Secret Deluxe is designed to be a comprehensive performance tool that does justice to the line.
