Featuring a new version of the classic '79 green overdrive, the Sidearm allows you to shape your drive tone to complement your entire rig, rather than the other way around. The iconic green overdrive employs a combination of filters at different stages to deliver its characteristic sound. All of these have been carefully tuned to extract more from the circuit, emphasizing the new mid control and the revamped tone knob.
The "hump frequency" of the Sidearm is set at 1KHz, but the mid control is centered around the typical "green" frequency of 720Hz, allowing you to boost or cut this band at will for a more customizable tone. The tone control boosts bass and cuts treble when lowered, with the opposite effect when raised. This control is centered at 1KHz, matching the peak, enabling precise adjustment of the entire frequency response, restoring some lost treble, or thickening the tone if connected to the bright channel of your amplifier.
