An additional advantage of this pedal is that the overdrive and Power Amp can be used separately or together. The Power Amp closely resembles a Blackface, the legendary Fender amplifier made between 63 and 68. It provides enhancements in both treble and bass frequencies. The drive ranges from a smooth blues overdrive to ZZ Top and AC/DC levels. This pedal is highly versatile thanks to its range of drive options. The sound can be fine-tuned with the treble and bass controls. Moreover, the pedal produces a lot of sustain without requiring high gain. Does it sound like an SD60? It certainly captures much of the character of the original, including the thick and prominent midrange. The pedal might sound a bit softer than the amplifier, but that’s something most players wouldn’t notice, and it might even be preferable. It’s a truly great-sounding pedal.
