Inspired by Neve consoles and a true tribute to how a single piece can change music. Many recordings have been made by plugging the guitar directly into an analog console, and this pedal recreates those tones. It works just as well with acoustics, microphones, keyboards, or basses. 100% analog, its design is based on the circuitry schematics of the Neve and contains absolutely NO digital components.
It features 2 cascaded stages that add the character and color of a genuine vintage console. From a clean sound to a thick, harmonically rich fuzz with gain reaching up to 39dB. The Lundhal transformer fattens the lows, adds harmonic complexity and richness to the mids, and smooths the highs. It also provides electrical isolation and blocks radio frequencies for silent operation. The Gain section, in red, is a Pre-Volume control that determines the amount of signal reaching the second gain stage, acting like the Gain on a conventional overdrive pedal, along with a Master Gain for volume and a Step Gain control to change the gain of each preamp stage across 5 levels. From left to right, the gain increases by 18dB, 23dB, 28dB, 33dB, or 39dB.
The EQ section, in blue, is a Baxandall type but heavily modified to cut or boost frequencies. The center frequencies are 10kHz for Treble, 1kHz for Middle, and 120Hz for Bass, with a +/- 17dB control range. The filter section, in yellow, is activated via its own switch and covers 60Hz to 800Hz with a 6dB per octave slope. Inputs and outputs come in both jack and XLR, allowing you to use it as a preamp for vocals, bass, acoustic guitar, or keyboard. They are independent and can be used simultaneously.
