With the Earthquaker Devices Astral Destiny, Akron, Ohio’s renowned effects company introduces a highly versatile octave reverb pedal designed to create dreamy soundscapes.
In addition to the sought-after shimmer effects Octave Up and Octave Down, the Astral Destiny offers pure reverb with rich sonic characteristics and expansive echoes with pitch bending, where the Length knob controls the decay time of the reverb tail. To further color the reverb sounds, the EQD Astral Destiny features a chorus effect with adjustable depth and speed that operates on the reverb tail. Additionally, the pedal provides a Stretch function that doubles the decay time and temporarily shifts the pitch of the reproduced tone to produce expressive reflections. Finally, the pedal can be used in buffered bypass mode with tail decay or switched to true bypass.
