Description

The Ibanez GRGM21M MPL takes the modern design of the RG family into a compact format, featuring a 22.2-inch short scale that makes chord access easier and reduces string tension. Its Metallic Purple finish, combined with the maple fingerboard and chrome hardware, gives it a striking and contemporary look.

The basswood body and the GRGM maple neck offer comfortable and lightweight construction. Its two Infinity R humbuckers deliver a defined sound with plenty of punch, while the five-way switch provides access to different tonal combinations. The fixed F106 bridge enhances tuning stability and simplifies maintenance.

Our Opinion

Its compact size makes it an especially recommended choice for young guitarists, players with smaller hands, or musicians seeking a comfortable instrument for travel. The short scale facilitates fingering and allows bends with less effort compared to a standard-scale guitar.

Despite its reduced dimensions, it maintains a very complete electronic setup and a tone suitable for rock, hard rock, and metal. It can also be an interesting secondary guitar for practice, travel, or use in spaces where a more manageable instrument is appreciated.

About IBANEZ

Ibanez is a manufacturer of guitars and basses based in Japan. Its name honors Spanish luthier Salvador Ibáñez, whose excellent guitars were distributed in Japan by Hoshino Gakki. The 1929 recession affected the company, leading to its closure in 1933. The Japanese market was left without supply, so in 1935, the importer decided to start manufacturing Spanish guitars independently and distributed them under the name "Ibanez Salvador." Later, the brand was renamed simply "Ibanez."
