In 1990, Yamaha launched the Pacifica series in response to the high-end electric guitar market and the spirit of the Custom Shop scene in California, led by Rich Lasner (creator of Steve Vai's JEM guitar).

After 21 years of success, Yamaha is returning to the market with new models inspired by current demands, offering boutique-level features. The Pacifica 311 H is inspired by the 611 HFM, which is now available in this more affordable version.
