Few guitars are as iconic as the favorite six-string companion of Eddie Van Halen, affectionately known as "Frankenstein." This guitar was Eddie's attempt to combine the sound of a solid-body classical guitar with the physical features and functionality of a Fender Stratocaster tremolo bar. The EVH Frankenstein "Frankie" series is a civil variant of Eddie Van Halen's legendary red, black, and white Frankenstrat guitar, complete with a worn relic finish.
Constructed from a solid piece of alder, this solid-body electric guitar roars with the best of them, while delivering rock-solid midrange that can cut through a manic rhythm section with ease. A Wolfgang direct-mount humbucker achieves Eddie's classic tone, especially when used to push a high-gain amplifier.

About EVH
The initials EVH immediately evoke thoughts of extravagant riffs and solos by guitarist Edward Van Halen. Alongside Peavey, Eddie collaborated on creating his signature guitar, the EVH Wolfgang, named after his son. In 2009, he launched his own brand, which is still endorsed by Fender today.
