There are very few guitars out there as famous as Eddie Van Halen’s beloved six-string companion, affectionately known as “Frankenstein.” This guitar was Eddie’s attempt to blend the tone of a simple-cut solid-body classical guitar with the physical attributes and functionality of a Fender Stratocaster tremolo bar. The EVH Frankenstein “Frankie” Series is a civilian variation of Eddie Van Halen’s iconic red, black, and white Frankenstrat guitar, featuring a worn ‘relic’ finish.
Equipped with a sleek quartersawn maple neck and an aged, fast-radius maple fingerboard, this guitar is born to shred. Intentionally positioned against the body, the Floyd Rose equipped with D-Tuna allows you to easily imitate Eddie’s characteristic tremolo, while providing instant access to Drop D tuning. The EVH Frankenstein series models are packed with classic Van Halen vibes, but most importantly, they deliver a killer tone and lightning-fast playability.

About EVH
The initials EVH immediately evoke thoughts of extravagant chords and solos by guitarist Edward Van Halen. Alongside Peavey, Eddie collaborated in creating his signature guitar, the EVH Wolfgang, named after his son. Soon after, in 2009, he launched his own brand, which is still endorsed by Fender today.
