The Larry Carlton S7 HSS New Gen White MN represents an evolution of the popular S7, incorporating improvements focused on comfort, stability, and versatility. Its North American alder body is paired with a hard maple neck featuring a C profile and a hard maple fingerboard with rounded Edgeless™ edges. The 9.5" to 14" compound radius, 22 stainless steel Medium Jumbo frets, and Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut provide a comfortable feel for chords as well as modern techniques and bendings in the upper areas of the neck.
Its HSS configuration uses the Sire LC Super HSS pickup set, combining two single coils with a humbucker at the bridge to cover everything from clean, defined tones to fuller, higher-output sounds. Our Opinion
The S7 HSS New Gen makes a significant leap forward compared to previous generations, especially in the neck. The compound radius, stainless steel frets, TUSQ XL nut, and Edgeless™ rounded edges provide a very refined and modern playing experience. The HSS configuration is particularly versatile: it maintains the bright, defined sounds typical of an S-style guitar but adds a humbucker at the bridge with more body for rock, solos, and gain-driven tones. An excellent choice for players seeking a Strat-style guitar with contemporary features and high-quality hardware.
