In 1990, Yamaha created the Pacifica series in response to the high-end electric guitar market with a Custom Shop spirit from the California scene, led by Rich Lasner (creator of Steve Vai’s JEM guitar). Since then, many of the top guitarists of the past two decades have made our Pacificas their main weapon on stage. After 21 years of success, we’re back with new models inspired by today’s demand, featuring boutique-grade specifications. The new Pacifica 611 HFM, with Hard-Tail construction and a flamed maple top, includes Seymour Duncan pickups, Grover locking tuners, a TUSQ XL nut, Vintage Tint lacquer on the back of the neck, Teflon saddles, a Coil-Tap switch, and a 3-ply pearloid pickguard.
