The professional large-diaphragm condenser microphone C214 has been designed as an affordable alternative to the high-end C414. Like the C414, the C214 features a high-quality one-inch capsule with integrated suspension to reduce mechanical noise. A switchable 20 dB pad allows recording sound sources up to 156 dB SPL.
A switchable low-cut filter enables close miking with virtually no proximity effect. The C214 captures sound by combining a capsule from the legendary dual-capsule system of the C414 with AKG Back-Plate technology, resulting in exceptional performance similar to the renowned C414 XLII.
