The WA-19 is equipped with a versatile acoustic high-pass filter ring capable of reducing up to 10 dB at 50 Hz. The filter modifies the space behind the WA-19’s transducer to eliminate unwanted sub-bass frequencies. This feature is perfect for refining tone, emphasizing upper mids, and avoiding the typical phase shift associated with preamp high-pass filters.

The side venting grills on the WA-19 help reduce proximity effect, ensuring that the boomy bass commonly produced when placing the mic close to loud sound sources is minimized.
