Thanks to its 13" (33 cm) driver with a long-excursion "W" cone and its BASH amplifier with 600 W RMS and 1000 W peak power, its sound reproduction is more faithful and impactful than ever.

It features optimized reinforcement structures and a front air vent inspired by Focal’s Trio11 monitors, along with internal and external outputs to reduce noise and distortion. The rear panel includes comprehensive controls for bass adjustments, allowing perfect tuning for any setup: low-pass, high-pass, phase, and level controls. These features make Sub12 an excellent professional tool.

The "W" composite cone, manufactured in France by Focal, allows for optimal frequency response curve shaping. Its unique lightweight and rigid properties enable precise control of signal transmission speed through the material. The modulation of the structural foam thickness allows for accurate damping of the cone. During listening, this cone provides total sonic transparency, minimal distortion, and excellent phase response.

The Focus mode transforms the speaker into a full-range, single-way monitor, offering a different speaker configuration with just the press of a pedal: as if there were a second pair of smaller studio monitors to check mix compatibility on smaller systems.
