Ibanez is a manufacturer of guitars and basses based in Japan. Its name honors Spanish luthier Salvador Ibáñez, whose excellent guitars were distributed in Japan by Hoshino Gakki. The 1929 recession affected the company, leading to its closure in 1933. The Japanese market was left without supply, so in 1935, the importer decided to start manufacturing Spanish guitars independently and distributed them under the name "Ibanez Salvador." Later, the brand was renamed simply "Ibanez."
The Ibanez RG series is one of the brand's most renowned lines, especially associated with rock, metal, and technical styles. It features fast necks, comfortable bodies, and configurations designed for playing with speed, precision, and punch.
