There are three core principles behind the Ibanez Prestige line: precision, performance, and comfort. Prestige guitars combine high-tech manufacturing techniques with old-school Japanese craftsmanship to achieve true innovation in design and build quality. The series incorporates ideas and suggestions from musicians worldwide as foundational elements of the Prestige production process.
The Prestige fret treatment is a distinctive feature of this range. This technique involves meticulously working each fret to ensure it is as rounded as possible, resulting in an ultra-smooth and fast playing feel on the neck.
About S-Tech
The special toasted S-TECH treatment enhances stability, durability, water resistance, and the wood's tolerance to temperature changes. The neck is sealed with an oil finish that helps it feel similar to a well-played guitar neck.
The treatment provides superior attack and a well-balanced tone with rich sustain. To maximize playing comfort, the edges of the fingerboard are rounded.
About Ibanez
Ibanez is a guitar and bass manufacturer based in Japan. The brand name originates from the Spanish luthier Salvador Ibáñez, whose excellent guitars were distributed in Japan by Hoshino Gakki. The 1929 recession impacted the company, leading to its closure in 1933. The Japanese market was left underserved, so in 1935, the importer started manufacturing Spanish-style guitars under the name "Ibanez Salvador," which later became simply "Ibanez."
