There are three core principles behind the Ibanez Prestige line: precision, performance, and comfort. Prestige guitars combine high-tech manufacturing techniques with old-school Japanese craftsmanship to achieve true innovation in design and construction. The series incorporates ideas and feedback from musicians worldwide as cornerstones of the Prestige production process.
The Prestige fret treatment is a hallmark of this range. This technique involves carefully rounding the frets to create an ultra-smooth and fast neck feel.
About the pickups
The Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker pickups in the neck and bridge positions deliver an aggressive tone with powerful attack. The Fluence Single Width pickup in the middle position offers a warm, clear tone with impressive punch and minimal noise. The Voicing switch allows the pickups to switch between a modern, high-performance active sound and a crisp, clean, and smooth tone.
About Ibanez
Ibanez is a guitar and bass manufacturer based in Japan. The brand name comes from Spanish luthier Salvador Ibañez, whose excellent guitars were distributed in Japan by Hoshino Gakki. The 1929 recession impacted the company, which closed in 1933. With the Japanese market left underserved, the importer decided in 1935 to start manufacturing Spanish-style guitars independently, distributing them under the "Ibanez Salvador" name. The name was later shortened to "Ibanez".
