There are three core principles behind the Ibanez Prestige line: precision, performance, and comfort. Prestige guitars combine high-tech manufacturing techniques with old-school Japanese craftsmanship to achieve true innovation in design and construction. The series incorporates ideas and feedback from musicians worldwide as cornerstones of the Prestige production process.
The Prestige fret treatment is a hallmark of this range. This technique involves meticulously rounding the frets to create an ultra-smooth and fast neck feel.
About S-Tech
The special S-TECH roasting treatment enhances the wood’s stability, durability, water resistance, and tolerance to temperature changes. The neck is sealed with an oil finish that gives it the feel of a well-played guitar neck.
This treatment delivers superior attack and a well-balanced tone with rich sustain. To maximize neck comfort, the fingerboard edges are rounded.
About Ibanez
Ibanez is a Japanese guitar and bass manufacturer. The name comes from Spanish luthier Salvador Ibañez, whose excellent guitars were distributed in Japan by Hoshino Gakki. The 1929 recession impacted the company, which closed in 1933. With the Japanese market left underserved, the importer decided in 1935 to start producing Spanish-style guitars independently, distributing them under the name "Ibanez Salvador." The name was later shortened to "Ibanez."
