There are three core principles behind the Ibanez Prestige line: precision, performance, and comfort. About Ibanez
Ibanez is a guitar and bass manufacturer based in Japan. Its name comes from the Spanish luthier Salvador Ibañez, whose excellent guitars were distributed in Japan by Hoshino Gakki. The 1929 recession affected the company, leading to its closure in 1933. With the Japanese market left underserved, the importer decided in 1935 to start manufacturing Spanish-style guitars independently and distributed them under the name "Ibanez Salvador." Later, the name was shortened to "Ibanez."
