The Player II Modified Telecaster is a classic guitar designed for the modern guitarist. Every aspect of the neck is crafted for fast, smooth playability, from the modern "C" profile with a silky satin urethane finish on the back to the comfortable one-piece rosewood or maple fingerboard with a 9.5" radius, rolled edges, and 22 medium jumbo frets.
The alder body delivers the classic Fender punch and comes in a variety of exciting new finishes. The Player II Modified humbucker is articulate with high output, while the Player II noiseless pickups provide the classic Tele twang and bite without unwanted noise. The tone control’s push/pull switch adds even more tonal flexibility by switching the humbucker wiring from parallel to series for beefier tones. The 6-saddle bridge, short-post locking tuners, TUSQ nut, and modern string guide all work together to maintain incredibly stable tuning—even during aggressive bends and powerful rock solos.
