An adjustable Level control allows the signal to hit the wah circuit cleanly or be overdriven for more bite and harmonics. On the left side, there is a switch to activate a JFET Buffer/Booster, which can increase volume by up to 20dB, interact better with high-gain amplifiers, and provide optimal isolation of subsequent pedals in the signal chain. Fulltone wah pedals feature a longer sweep than others and incorporate nylon pivot points that can be micro-adjusted at will.
Custom components from Fulltone ensure superior sound quality and unmatched noise isolation. In addition to a MuMetal enclosure that rejects stray noise, the Fulltone MU-80 inductor is handcrafted in the USA and precisely designed with the same core materials, wiring, and inductance as the vintage Vox Wahs from the 1960s. Its triple-screened carbon composition track can withstand 500,000 rotations, and the custom-made FWP-2 potentiometer is durable and similar to the Icar potentiometers used in vintage Vox Wahs of the 60s.
The Supa-Wah’s 16-gauge cold-rolled steel enclosure is not only highly durable but also blocks most external noise. An additional grounding strap connecting the bottom plate to the chassis further reduces 60-cycle hum and increases radio frequency rejection.
