The JHS Pedals Milkman was born from a conversation between Josh Scott and Tim Marcus of Milkman Sound. Tim wanted a pedal that would seamlessly integrate with the tremolo and reverb of his amplifiers, something country and Americana musicians could use as their sole effects pedal if desired. That’s how the Milkman was created—a perfect combination of slap delay and clean boost that provides exactly what you need, without overdoing it.

The Milkman features two completely independent effects: the boost on the right and the slap delay on the left. The boost is a fully transparent clean boost, perfect for pushing your amp into natural overdrive or leaving it activated as a preamp. The slap delay has controls for Slap, Mix, Repeats, and EQ. The Slap control adjusts delay time from 0 ms, creating a doubling effect, up to 250 ms for spacious echo sounds. The Mix control adjusts the volume of the repeats. The Repeats control sets the number of delay repeats. The EQ control adjusts the brightness of the repeats, allowing you to dial in a darker, ambient sound or a brighter, more cutting tone in the mix.
About JHS Pedals
JHS was founded in 2007 by Joshua Heath Scott, who used his initials for branding. Josh started by modifying BOSS pedals for himself and friends, before developing his own circuits, such as the Morning Glory—one of his first pedals, inspired by the Marshall Bluesbreaker, which is still in production today. Over time, Josh built a passionate team, establishing JHS as a leading name in guitar effects worldwide.
