The César Díaz-modified Echoplex EP-2 was in exceptional condition and featured specific adjustments to its tube preamp to achieve a warmer sound and a response similar to the EP-3. These modifications aimed to unify the most distinctive features of the classic Echoplex models. This approach served as a direct reference for developing the EC-1, giving it a sound character with a strong nostalgic identity.
