The D-X1E acoustic-electric features the iconic Dreadnought body shape, now available in two attractive high-pressure laminate (HPL) patterns: koa or mahogany. Both the top, back, and sides are made of durable HPL that provides a classic Martin look, while the improved feel includes a slimmer fingerboard with a smoothly beveled edge, refined string separation, and a modernized bridge contour for a smooth and comfortable playing experience.
Its characteristic size delivers a loud, projecting sound with powerful bass, making it suitable for any genre and skill level. The D-X1E also features satin tuning machines and Martin’s E-1 electronics, which include a built-in chromatic tuner and controls for volume, tone, and phase, allowing you to plug in and play at any volume. All models in the X Series come with a soft gig bag.
