The L6 models incorporate many of Yamaha's most exclusive features. The solid Engelmann spruce top is treated with A.R.E.. This process, combined with a redesigned bracing pattern, results in a powerful sound with greater volume, while maintaining an optimal balance. To meet the demands of today's guitarists, they are equipped with a Zero Impact pickup that, without affecting their traditional aesthetics or natural acoustic resonance, allows for amplification in live performances or studio recordings.
A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) is a wood treatment technology originally developed by Yamaha. By precisely controlling temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure, the molecular properties of the wood can be manipulated to achieve ideal acoustic characteristics similar to those of wood from instruments that have been played for many years.
