Electric guitar pickup designed to meet the demands of Pantera’s guitarist, Dimebag Darrell, SH-13 Dimebucker.
- Very high output and aggressive tone
- Ceramic magnets with blade design
- “Scooped mids” frequency response
- 4-conductor wiring
- Made in the USA
A crisp pick attack, scooped mids, and perfect saturation: that’s what defines the Dimebucker bridge pickup. Dime wanted his signature humbucker to deliver a powerful crunch that slightly compresses when pushed hard. Combine that with a full, precise bass response, a ceramic magnet with two stainless steel blades, and you get the Dimebucker. Huge and direct output straight from the mind of the late great Darrell Abbott.
In a 2004 interview, Dimebag described the Dimebucker’s sound: “It’s very saturated, not overly distorted, but it has a smooth, crunchy distortion tone. It gives you a bit of extra gain but doesn’t break up or go wild. You get that warm tone with blended distortion, and it has bass that kicks your ass, while the highs cut your face the right way without ripping it off. If you ever listen to a Pantera record, that’s what you’ll hear with this pickup.” Pair it with a ’59 model neck pickup for the setup Darrell himself used, or get our Dimebag set for neck and bridge.
Handcrafted in Santa Barbara, California, the Dimebucker features a ceramic magnet bar, two stainless steel blades, 4-conductor wiring for multiple wiring options, and is wax-potted for noise-free performance.
