Description

Featuring an exquisite body of mahogany and Sitka spruce, these tonewoods deliver a perfectly balanced sound. The vintage 60s aesthetic gives it an authentic look, complemented by a natural tone with excellent clarity and a superb playing feel. This guitar will make your notes shine and your chords resonate with richness and warmth.

Having undergone an Acoustic Resonance Enhancement (A.R.E.) process, this instrument offers the ideal amount of 'sustain' and the tonal characteristics of aged wood. Play as if in your dreams with its mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard. The guitar maintains the classic FG headstock shape, adorned with the iconic fretboard logo. The traditional neck heel features the inscription “Since 1966,” commemorating the launch of Yamaha’s first FG models.

A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) is a wood treatment technology originally developed by Yamaha. Through precise control of temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure, it manipulates the molecular properties of the wood to achieve acoustic characteristics similar to those of well-played vintage instruments.

The Atmosfeel preamp and pickup system, with three elements, uses a piezo sensor in the bridge to capture bass frequencies, a microphone for midrange and bass, and our new patented synthetic sheet transducer mounted on the soundboard to pick up treble frequencies. The result is a natural, full-bodied tone with simple controls that make it easy to achieve great amplified sound.
