The Ibanez BTB605MLM is a 5-string multiscale electric bass that combines the characteristic Neck-Thru construction of the BTB series with a variable scale length of 34" to 35". The BTB605MLM blends the modern concept of the BTB family with a relatively accessible multiscale setup. The transition between 34" and 35" scales provides added firmness in the low B string without making the fretboard layout as pronounced as on models reaching 37" scales. This makes it particularly suitable for players new to multiscale instruments without drastically changing their playing style.

Additionally, the 19 mm string spacing offers ample room for techniques like slap or for bassists used to wider string arrangements. The T1 pickups and active/passive electronics provide great versatility, while the flame maple fingerboard, Pearl White Matte finish, and gold hardware give it a distinctive aesthetic presence within the BTB range.
