Designed to deliver speed, comfort, and maximum attack, the redesigned Series 5150 Standard Left Hand is an iconic blast from the past that combines vintage features with modern updates. Like its predecessor, the 5150 Standard Left Hand features a modified Strat-style basswood body with a deeper upper horn. The reinforced, quarter-sawn maple neck features a comfortable 'C' profile, a hand-sanded satin polyurethane finish on the back, a truss rod adjustment wheel mounted at the heel, and a hockey-stick-shaped headstock in matching color with an EVH logo decal. Built for smooth, fast playability, the 12"-16" compound radius ebony fingerboard has 22 jumbo frets and cream-colored dot inlays.

While the original striped model featured only a single humbucking bridge pickup, the new 5150 is equipped with a dual-humbucker configuration controlled by a three-way switch on the upper bout. The custom-designed EVH Wolfgang Alnico 2 humbucking bridge pickup offers the perfect balance of punch and articulation with sweet sustain and thick, chunky rhythms, all within a perfectly balanced EQ curve. The EVH Wolfgang Alnico 2 neck humbucker provides warmth, balls-to-the-wall overdrive, and infinite sustain, while maintaining articulate cleans when the volume is rolled back. A custom low-friction volume knob ensures smooth volume increases, and the high-friction tone knob stays in place even if accidentally bumped. An additional feature is a lower kill switch, allowing you to mute your guitar for rhythmic, staccato effects—think "You Really Got Me."
Adorned with an EVH-branded top-mount Floyd Rose tremolo with "dive-bomb" certification, the locking bridge features fine tuners for each string and a patented EVH D-Tuna for instant drop-D tuning or standard tuning changes.
About EVH
The initials EVH immediately evoke images of Eddie Van Halen’s legendary riffs and solos. Alongside Peavey, Eddie collaborated on the creation of his signature guitar, the EVH Wolfgang, named after his son. In 2009, he launched his own signature line, which is still endorsed by Fender today.
