About the S Series

Ibanez's innovative design, the S series remains a marvel of form and function. Its distinctive, sculpted, lightweight mahogany body is more resonant and expressive than guitars twice its weight. The S series continues to be a rock 'n' roll version of a fast, sleek, and potentially lethal weapon.

About Ibanez

Ibanez is a guitar and bass manufacturer headquartered in Japan. Its name is derived from Spanish luthier Salvador Ibáñez, whose excellent guitars were distributed in Japan by Hoshino Gakki. The 1929 recession affected the company, leading to its closure in 1933. The Japanese market was left underserved, so in 1935, the importer started manufacturing Spanish guitars under the name "Ibanez Salvador" and later rebranded as "Ibanez".
