The LTD M-1000 Multi-Scale is a 6-string version of the already available M-1007MS and M-1008MS. Multi-scale guitars utilize an angled fretboard layout to offer different scale lengths for the various strings, which allows for optimal string tension. Many users also report that it provides an ergonomic improvement for fretting hand comfort.
The M-1000 Multi-Scale features a variable scale length from 26.5" to 25.5. It has a bolt-on design with a flame maple top over a mahogany body, and a five-piece neck made of maple and purpleheart (amaranth), with a Macassar ebony fingerboard that includes abalone dot inlays. Top-tier components on the M-1000 multi-scale include a custom set of Seymour Duncan Sentient (neck) and Nazgul (bridge) humbuckers, specially designed for ESP with an optimized angle for the multi-scale design.
A push-pull control on the tone knob allows coil splitting, offering a wide range of versatile tones.
