Equipped with the latest BOSS technology, the RT-2 Rotary Ensemble brings this expressive spatial effect in a format that’s easy to integrate into any rig. This powerful pedal faithfully recreates the complex sonic magic of the original, featuring three sound modes, deep modeling, and advanced operation with the built-in footswitch and external control.

Originally developed for organs in the 1940s, rotary speakers produce hypnotic modulation effects with motor-driven components that physically rotate inside the cabinet at variable speeds. This stunning sound is an essential part of the classic organ voice, and guitarists and other musicians have also used rotary speakers to infuse legendary tracks with extraordinary depth and movement.

Use the RT-2’s three-way Mode switch to select the classic rotary speaker tone or two modern variations developed with custom BOSS calibration.

Mode I—A faithful recreation of the most famous vintage rotary speaker design, crafted with the latest BOSS modeling technology. This mode adds traditional rotary control to any instrument, from guitar and bass to organs, electric pianos, synthesizers, and more.

Mode II—The vintage rotary sound enhanced with a wider sonic range. This mode offers greater spatial performance when combined with overdrive and distortion pedals.

Mode III—Delivers superior definition with intense modulation and excitation settings, adding power and presence to arpeggios and solos.
