Lex provides us with a complete and precisely reproduced rotary system: the low-frequency bass rotor, the rotating treble horn, the tube-driven amplifier, finely tuned microphone placement, and all the complex sonic interactions between these elements.
- Algorithms developed by Strymon
- Four control parameters: Fast rotor speed, Preamp Drive, microphone distance, and horn level.
- Four hidden parameters for extended control: Slow rotor speed, speaker direction, acceleration time, and +/- 6dB boost/cut.
- Instantly switch between slow and fast with the Fast/Slow footswitch.
- Selectable cabinet filter for use with guitar amplifiers or flat-response systems.
- Stereo output.
- High-impedance mono input, switchable to TRS (stereo).
- Expression pedal input (pedal not included).
- Favourite switch to save preferred settings.
- Selectable Bi-Amp system to separate treble and bass rotors.
- Ultra-low noise with 24bit 96kHz A/D and D/A converters.
- High-quality analog systems at input and output.
The rotary speaker, also known as Leslie, is a two-way amplifier and speaker system that projects the instrument’s sound while the speakers rotate, creating a very distinctive effect, commonly associated with the Hammond organ.
