At Ibanez, they aimed to take the iconic Tube Screamer and push it further with a new concept of the handmade flagship model. They evaluated every component while striving to stay true to the pedal’s transparent sound focused on the midrange. After numerous prototypes, they concluded that the JRC NJM4558 operational amplifier was essential to achieve the legendary Tube Screamer tone.
At the same time, this new design offers a wider range of tones thanks to the incorporation of premium components like MOGAMI OFC cables, which further enhance the benefits of a hand-wired pedal. Additionally, a boost has been added to the final stage of the circuit, increasing the maximum output level by +6dB. Its look has also been refreshed, giving it a high-end appearance while retaining the traditional shape.
