For over 30 years, the Nobels ODR-1 overdrive pedal has become a renowned classic and a cult favorite among guitarists worldwide. Considered an essential component in many professional rigs, this pedal has set the industry standard—widely copied but rarely surpassed.
The new Nobels ODR-1X represents the next generation of this legendary overdrive, marking a new chapter in Nobels’ legacy. Due to high demand, a convenient external bass cut control has been added, along with the option to switch between true bypass and buffered bypass. For high-gain enthusiasts, a new switchable high-gain boost is now available, capable of turning the ODR-1X into a true hard rock monster. With remote control over both gain boost and bypass, plus the exclusive SPECTRUM tone control, foldable Mounty-P mounting plates, and glow-in-the-dark pointer knobs, the ODR-1X adds valuable flexibility and functionality to a time-tested favorite.

For greater ease of use, the internal Bass Cut function originally featured on the ODR-1BC is now available as an external variable control right on the pedal’s front panel. This allows you to fine-tune the pedal’s bass response on the fly with a simple knob turn. The flexibility of this new control perfectly complements Nobels’ exclusive and renowned SPECTRUM tone control, which simultaneously adjusts the balance of mid-low and high frequencies. At noon, frequencies remain nearly flat. Turning from minimum to maximum creates frequency response variations that suit a wide range of tastes and musical styles.
