About Jackson Guitars
Jackson was founded in the late 1970s, during a period when heavy music experienced a flamboyant and virtuosic resurgence in popularity. A small guitar repair shop in Southern California, operated by Grover Jackson, responded to the call with a new generation of high-performance custom guitars bearing Jackson's name on the headstock. Since then, Jackson guitars have been universally acclaimed as metal instruments.
