About Jackson Guitars
Jackson was founded in the late 1970s during a resurgence of flamboyant and virtuosic heavy metal music's popularity. A small guitar repair shop in Southern California, operated by Grover Jackson, responded to the call with a new generation of high-performance custom guitars bearing Jackson's own name on the headstock.
