Unlike other pedals that sacrifice sensitivity and functionality when downsized, the PW-3 strikes the perfect balance between practicality and expressive capability. Its cast aluminum chassis is sturdy and offers a significant footprint reduction, while the smooth pedal action is highly responsive and feels great underfoot. Another common issue with compact pedals is difficulty in seeing whether the effect is engaged or bypassed, as your foot blocks the view. The PW-3 solves this with LED status indicators on each side of the pedal, making it much easier to see when the wah-wah is active.
