Description

Have you ever played an original FuzzFace from around 1970? (HINT: It’s not at all the same sound as the mass-produced versions of the same name today). Our pedal features two intentionally mismatched silicon transistors (in terms of harmonic content) that growl and spit... not for the faint-hearted! If you turn the "Fuzz" control to 10, you’ll tear your amp apart, and you might get all sorts of oscillations and weirdness... but that’s Rock. Don’t try to use it with a wah wah... you can’t, and neither could Jimi, without it screaming and howling. Want smoothness and silence? Look elsewhere. Want art in a box? Go ahead.

  • Effect Type: Fuzz
  • Construction: Analog
  • Features: True Bypass
  • Mono/Stereo: Mono Input, Mono Output
  • Controls: Volume, Mids, Fuzz
  • Bypass Mode: True Bypass
  • Power Supply: 9 VDC, Center Negative
  • Battery Compatible: Optional
  • Battery Type: 9 V Block
  • Enclosure Format: Standard
  • Dimensions (HxWxD): 64 x 53 x 114 mm

Housed in a 16-gauge steel enclosure painted in dark blue, this pedal is a bit rebellious but with a touch of warmth... perfect for vintage Marshall 4-input amps, it delivers much more FUZZ than the '69 Pedal and includes a Mid control for greater clarity and cut.

In December 2009, after 15 years of production, the 70 was discontinued. However, I recently found/bought a couple of thousand excellent BC108C transistors, so I’m pleased to announce the return of the 70 pedal... this time, in a small enclosure (OCD size). These transistors sound incredible! The 70-BC model still features the secret weapon of the "Mid" knob, allowing you to do something other Fuzzfaces can’t... be heard in the mix.
